and all at The David Lokey Center

We were on our way to church this morning in Laurel, Maryland when we were stopped at a traffic light by an officer on a motorcycle. A few moments later a group of officers came through the intersection on motorcycles followed by the largest group of cyclists I have ever seen in person! What a beautiful sight and for such a wonderful cause. Just one more reason to be so proud to be married to a law enforcement officer. Keep it going!
My son Ken a Sgt. With the San Diego Police Department is riding in the Unity our this year…I am so proud of him and all he does….God Bless all of the participants and may they all have a safe ride…..
God Bless you all. My son and I were able to see you ride by on Friday right before your noon rest stop. It was such an inspiring sight to witness and I am glad I was able to share it with my 4 year old. Keep up the good work and we will be there to cheer you on again next year.
Im am so proud of my boyfriend Robert Eyres, other wise known as, Skippy, amongst his colleagues. He was given the title of Marshall this year due to his motivation and dedication. He’s such a team player, as well as a huge supporter. I can not wait to see all the riders coming through on Sunday, May 12th!!! Love u Bobby!!!
Best wishes to all riders on their journey to Washington DC. Lillianna, Sophia, and Ellena cheered for their dad Carmen DeCaro, with their 450+ schoolmates at Central Avenue School in Madison NJ. We hope the officers enjoyed hearing the cheers from the children! Safe journey and thank you for your dedication and service!
We are Crowder’s Crew (2nd graders), from Botetourt Elementary School in Gloucester, VA – We just came in from cheering the many cyclist as they pedeled through Main Street. Go Wisconsin Go! On behalf of the employees and customers of Rytec Corporation, good luck and be safe as you embark on the 2013 ride today. We want to thank Officer Uttech of the Slinger Wisconsin Police Department and the other bike riders from the Wisconsin Riders Police Unity Tour for their efforts. We’ll be following your progress.
Thank you all, and may you all be safe. Thanks for all you do.
Thinking of you as you embark on your journey tomorrow. Have a safe and peaceful ride.
Hello one and all.
Best of luck and good wishes for a safe ride. Mary and I miss witnessing you as you passed our apartment on Woodbridge Avenue in Edison. We would have flags draped from our balcony in honor of you Law enforce ment officers and your families. We displayed the NLEO, the STATE OF NJ and the AMERICAN flags. We moved into senior housing and no longer have the spot to cheer and support you. Be certain that each of you, your families and all with whom you work are remembered in our daily prayers. God blesss you. Jim & mary.
This year NY probation Officer Robert Masucci contacted my family to ask if he could ride in memory & honor of my nephew, Oklahoma Parole and Probation Officer Jeffery M McCoy.
Last year, on May 18, 2012, on what was a beautiful Friday afternoon in Midwest City, OK, Jeff went to call on a “client” but was met at the door by someone else, an enraged killer, who beat Jeff and then shot Jeff in the back of the head,
The horror of that day will always be with us but the kindness of so many people, many we never knew before, their kindness trumps the evil done that day. It blesses us all.
Jeff leaves behind a wife and two small children, grieving parents and siblings, and many other family, friends, and colleagues. We all miss him very much.
Officer Masucci’s kind gesture deeply touches our hearts, blesses us in a most profound way.
He sent us a picture of his bike with the names of those he is riding for this year.
It means the world to my family that he would do this, to remember Jeff this way.
God bless Officer Masucci and all the others riding – May you have a safe journey. Amen.
Best wishes to all riders. Thank you for stopping at the Greenville Police Department this morning.
The Borough of Peapack & Gladstone in Somerset County, New Jersey, is very proud that Officer Anthony Damiano and Chief Gregory Skinner are participating in the Tour. Best wishes to all.
William H. Horton, Mayor
Love you. Safe ride and I thank you silently everyday for what you do and have to “do”. Always..
God bless you all and always keep you safe!
Officer Scott Haigh honored my spouse’s service and sacrifice last year: ATSAIC Christopher Smith, US Secret Service, EOW: 12/27/07.Every attempt to write a nice paragraph of grateful thanks reads like jibberish and this one may very well end up the same. Simply stated, I’m unable to find words or phrase how my heart felt, and continues to feel each time I recall the riders rolling in last year. Tears roll down my face as I type these comments and I every time I look at tour photos. Sometimes my heart just explodes with pride. So,rest assured, my tears are joyful. Maybe it’s because I had to fight 6 years to get the “LODD” adjudication or maybe I’m just a pathetic cry-baby. I must confess, however, that initially I failed to appreciate the sheer magnitude of planning and physical determination required of the organization and undertaken by each rider. Seeing the tired, yet jubilant, faces at the finish line brought it on home to me. Suddenly it became very “real”. I began to question how many vacation, personal, and/or comp. hours Scott may have used for the ride. How much personal $$$$ was spent? How much time was sacrificed away from his family? Did he have a difficult time meeting the $$$ goal? I worked in the Judicial/Law Enforcement arena for many years and worked secondary employment, along with most every LEO I knew. Spare time was always coveted. I was always extremely grateful for The Police Unity Tour. As memories began to flood my mind,(and still do),it finally hit me that a fellow law enforcement officer cared enough about the man I loved to ride hundreds of miles to pay him the respect and honor he deserved all along. My battle had come full circle. My soul could finally rest. The words “Thank You” are so inadequate. I don’t know how else to explain what The Police Unity Tour and Officer Scott Haigh mean to me. It’s one of those life changing events permanently woven into my patchwork journey of healing. A broken heart may never mend, but it’s these integral moments that heal the wounds. For this alone I am forever grateful for each and every rider. I hope you know and understand how much you mean to “survivors” like me.
Dear Officers and Their Families,
First of all I want to say thank you to all the officers, for all you do to protect our cities everyday, everywhere.
May God Bless each of you and protect you.
To all the families of officers, I pray everyday for your officers as I have a nephew who is an officer in Phoenix.I pray for their safety on the road and in their work.
To the families of the fallen officers…I say thank you for the gifts your family members had to give and protect us.
My friend and colleague Steve Beecher passed yesterday after a difficult struggle with cancer. This terrible disease snuck up on him and took a vibrant, energetic and fun loving guy from our ranks.
I will always remember working many midnights with Steve for a few short years at FPPD before he left for the Prosecutors Office. We always stay connected as fellow Florham Parkers but what really brought us back together was the Unity Tour. Him always asking if I was “doing ok” and me wondering how you can drive that damn truck at 15 miles an hour for 12 hours? If you knew Steve he was about speed! ( happy to fill you in on a few stories)My friend you will be sorely missed. Your Partner Andy!
thank you for all you do. Makes us proud. God Bless you all and keep up the wonderful work and awareness. My husband, Don has committed his life to the work of protecting and service. I am proud to be his help mate. Thanks for the recognition you give to each and every one of the men and women who protect and serve.
GOD BLESS…….YOU ALL……& Keep YOU Safe !…… <3 THank You ..For ALL……..You Do ! <3 From : Your Connecticut Correction Officer ….Sister <3
It was my the most unforgettable experience to be part of Police Unity Tour 2012. Special thanks to Harry Phillips, James F. Waldron III and all associates of PUT. Hope to see you all guys soon in India for bicycle tour.
I like to thank all the riders who did this year.
Most of all i like thank you for all you have done for my over the years. Survivor of P/O Pauline Harness EOW 6/19/96 IN Philadelphia,Pa.
Just wanted to express my thanks to all the administration and support staff for making this year’s ride so pleasurable.
The effort that goes into organising and ensuring the ride goes so well is enormous and much appreciated. To be able to get up in a morning, have my luggage taken to my next hotel room and have all needs taken care of whilst cycling makes it a pleasure.
Without the support teams, this ride could not take place. Thanks guys (and girls)
The motor cycle outriders did a magnificent job as they always do.
Thanks to everyone who helped this event be such a success
Truly a pleasure to ride with all my Brothers and Sisters again this year. A big shout out to the New Members of the Newark Riders a Job Well Done.
To all of the riders on this year’s tour, congratulations on a job well done. I have had the pleasure of being around long enough to see this group continue to grow since it’s inception back in 1997. Having riden those first 3 yrs, I know what it feels like to put in those long days in the saddle and that feeling of accomplishment one gets as they arrive at the memorial. Being on a motor, I know some of you may think we are hard headed, don’t know what it is like or don’t even care how you all feel; that my friends is the furthest thing from the truth. All of us who ride motors care deeply about this Tour and all of you who pedal from start to finish. We do what we do because we love it and because we want to do everything in our power to ensure your safety. It is an honor to be part of this group, an honor to watch out for you all and an honor to be part of something much greater than myself. To all of you I wish a happy and safe year, keep the rubber side down when riding and I look forward to seeing each and evryone of you next year!
I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the Superior Job done by everyone in “The Police Unity Tour Of 2012″.
The efforts from setting up the Hotels, to “The Motors” keeping us safe on the roadways. And last but not least, our great Support Team who kept the food and snacks coming, along with keeping us well hydrated along the way! “God bless The Support Team!”
A very “Special Thanks” to the thousands of people who came out and lined up along the streets to support us with homemade signs and words of encouragement from New Jersey to Washington D.C.!
The positive interaction with the children, “Our Future Leaders” was just awesome!! Words can not even begin to explain how heartfelt and proud I was each and every time, I handed out a Police Unity Tour Flag to a child standing on the curbside cheering us on! The facial expressions were priceless!
Again, My sincerest gratitude for the great job done by everyone from “Top to Bottom” working together for such a great cause with the same goal in mind…”Ride For Those Who Have Died”. To remember and Never Forget our fellow officers who made The Ultimate Sacrifice!!
GOD BLESS EVERY MEMBER OF THE POLICE UNTIY TOUR AND STAY HYDRATED & SAFE!!
See ya all next year,
Scott “FLAGMAN” Haigh
Rockaway Borough Police

Thank you again Pat, Harry and Jim and every one involved for a job well done. Although I didn’t do the Motor escort this year, I had the pleasure of seeing my daughter (Sherry, of the Lakewood PD) doing her first motor escort this year. I know the feeling she felt when I watched her pull into the Memorial. It’s overwhelming. Keep up the good work amd keep the tour going.
it was yet again an honor to be amongst the 1500+ riders this year!!..congrats to all who rode. see you in 365 days!
Jim and Mary,
It saddened many of us that have been excited to see your flag for the past five rides we have participated in. When we went past this year and found you were not there, it was clear many missed your presence. Either way, many of us had you in our thoughts. I promise that in every future ride I will be sure to say a prayer for you both as we pass your apartment and hope you are doing well. Till then, stay healthy, stay strong and stay positive. Perhaps we could see you on the roadside in 2013!!!
We are so very proud of you for yet another successful ride. May God bless and keep all of you safe.

I was blessed to experience the tour today by happenstance. I was running an errand and had to pull to the side of Route 450 in Crofton, Maryland to let the tour pass. I was so impressed with the riders. Numerous said “thank you” to me for pulling over, but I say Thank You! As a retired Marine Corps Officer and Veteran, I understand the meaning behind the tour and I fully support you. God Bless and may the tour be a complete success.
Joseph A. Sanders, U.S. Marine, Retired
Keith, Tony, and Rob, USCBP
I think I speak for everyone here at CBP. We are proud of the three of you and want to congratulate you. You are riding for an awesome cause and have devoted so much time to prepare for this. You are to be commended along with all of the other P.U.T. riders. I personally want to thank you for riding in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Great job and again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
Our hats are off to all of you that have contributed so much to honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice and especially what you are doing for the families that have lost so much. Officers like you do so much in your everyday jobs and now have found a way to go the extra mile. Special thanks go out to Adam Steele and the entire team from Eugene, OR, as you make your way through Philadelphia, Baltimore and on to Washington DC. As always you have gone above and beyond for this honorable tribute. Thanks and we are proud for all that you do.
Just watched you all ride past my home on Walker drive in Warrenton! What an awsome cause and what a great way to travel. As a fellow Cyclist I know the effort you made…. Hats off to all of you! Nice work!!
What all of you are doing is such an unselfish act of solidarity and support. I am so proud of you, Stephen Rovetto, and wish that I could have been there to cheer you on. Just know that the memories and pride of what you are doing will long be with you and that Grandpa is your Angel watching over you.
My daughter and I just spent a very humbling time pulled over on Rt. 213 in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland as the ride passed by. We took photos and were awed at the number of riders. Thank you so much for what you are doing to honor your lost fellow officers. Before we even saw the riders we passed a small group in Centreville that was waiting for them. One little boy had a sign that said “GO DAD GO”! What awesome encouragment it was to see that. My husband is a firefighter and we have friends in the police force. God Bless you all!
I was amazed and awed by what I saw. It was very impressive. As soon as I got to work I had to look up the tour and see what it was all about. I am glad I did. I wish all of you the best of luck on your journey.I will pray that everyone of you make it to your destination and that you raise much more money for your cause than expected.
May all the riders have a safe and fun trip in 2012. Our sincere appreciation to the riders from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. We love you all as we remember all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Milburn and Anne Beitel

HELLO AND THANK EACH PERSON INVOLVED IN THIS YEAR’S RIDE TO WASHINGTON DC.
FOR SEVERAL YEARS MARY AND I HAVE ENJOYED SUPPORTING THE RIDERS AS THEY PASSED OUR APARTMENT ON SUNRISE DRIVE IN EDISON. WE DISPLAYED WITH PRIDE OUR AMERICAN FLAG, THE POLICE MEMORIAL FLAG AND THE NJ STATE FLAG FROM OUR BALCONY. DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL WE HAVE MOVED INTO SENIOR HOUSING IN EDISON AND ARE SADDENED BY THE FACT THAT WE WILL MISS SUPPORTING THE RIDE ALONG WOODBRIDGE AVENUE. PLEASE BE CERTAIN THAT MARY AND I CONTINUE TO THANK EACH OF YOU AND REMEMBER YOU, YOUR FAMILIES AND FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS. SAFE RIDE AND ENJOY YOUR TIME TOGETHER. SINCERELY, JIM & MARY
How fortunate our family has been meeting Michael Rae and his endless energy and contributions for this tour. We look forward to the weekend as I am sure there will be many bittersweet moments for many. Thank you to all and know how much you are appreciated.

Having witnessed last years tour was a true honour. The work you all do is never to be taken lightly. I will be honoring my husband Juan C. Ramos of Newark, NJ at the memorial again this year as we remember those who have died in the line of duty. GOOD LUCK RIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweettie, you make JC and I so proud each day. Your selfless character and all the work you put in with such dignity is inspiring in so many aspects. I LOVE YOU!!!
This English lawyer wants to say thanks to everyone for organising such a successful ride (yet again). It is an honour and a privilege to be allowed to take part in the event.
The work of Harry, Pat and everyone else involved in all aspects of the organisation of this event cannot be over estimated.
Thank you for making the ride possible.
A big thank you to all the riders whose company and encouragement made the 300 miles seem a pleasure and not a pain.
I hope to see you all again in 2012 to raise funds for a great cause and to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many.
I was on my way back from a weekend trip to the beach when I saw a support vehicle for the Police Unity Tour heading back south on I95 (believe it was from Ft Myers, Fl.). I smiled to myself with gratitude knowing how far the riders had ridden in remembrance of fallen officers. My first husband was killed in the line of duty in N.C. so I know how special it is knowing he is never forgotten and also to honor all officers (including my brother and current husband). Thanks so much!!!
Bonnie read your post, thanking us.. ‘THANK YOU’ for the support and not complaining that we slowed your day down with traffic congestion, as many did. We will be out there next year in May again.
Pat, Harry, Debbie, Beth, Jimmy and all the others who work so hard to make this ride possible…we riders thank you! Your Texas guys love you, you will always have our support! I heard a lot of good words spoken but the best I heard was this…’Police Officers matter. You matter.’ Thank all of you for being my friend…counting down the days to the next year! Gone forever…never forgotten.
Saw you all in Lahaska, PA as you were getting to the top of a hill – everyone looked good and was helping each other get to the end! Great job.
Wanted to say how proud we are to call some very special police officers friends. Especially proud of our dear friend, Bryan, for his recent ride.
This is such a great cause to make sure that fallen officers are never forgotten.
While I’m not a police officer or the wife of one, I appreciate what every officer does each day she/he puts on the uniform. This past week I was in Mount Vernon on a school trip with my daughter when the parade of officers on bikes and vehicles rode by, WHAT A SITE!! It brought tears to my eyes to see the support you all offer one another, there is no other profession like it! THANK YOU!!!
just want to say thank you to those who make this tour happen. Its a life time experience to be part of the ride. although i have never met the officer I represent on this ride, i come closer to him. I ask him for the strength to push forward and help me finish. It is truly and honor to participate and ride. to the family of Deputy Michael R. Schaefer, Uvalde County SO(Uvalde Texas), it was a true honor and i will soon mail you a piece that represents Michael. I will have lost a part of me and will never forget.
Many thanks to all the Riders, Support, Administartion and Families of the Tour. Your mission is critical and reminds us, in a time when some have forgotten, of the incredible heroism of our nation’s law enforcement officers. I am proud today of the entire tour and send personal congratulations espescially to Lieutenant John Glinko, Sergeant Michael Spitzer, Corporal Michael Cordileone, Officer Carl Mase, Detective Craig Casaletto and Officer Chad Rossy of the Mount Olive Township Police Department (NJ).
Lisa, your friends and family here in Los Angeles applaud the important work you do!
It was a great day seeing the number of you who rode, provided ride support, and the LE families and friends out there today! You have inspired several of us to join in next year. Thank you for remembering!
I just rode along with a few of the Police Unity Bikers from East Capitol Street to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial while on my way to work and what an amazing ride it was. To repeat a previous comment, What Great determination, a Great organization and a Great cause. Congratulations!!!
I’m happy to have experienced this today.
My big brother is currently riding in the Unity Tour! Just wanted to say how proud I am to have him as a brother and proud to know that my hometown is protected by an amazing officer! He truly loves what he does!!! Good Job Carlos!!!!!!!!!! and Happy Birthday!!!! love you!! xoxo
I saw your group riding along in New Castle this morning at about 8:30 this morning. It was an incredible sight to behold and it was even more incredible to hear the shouts of gratitude and support from the bystanders when I was stopped at a red light. This is so incredibly wonderful and inspiring that you all come together to honor the memories of your fallen comrades. I salute you all!
Thank you Team CHP for representing us and making us proud. I know the CHP families of those who have laid down their lives appreciate your efforts along with those families whose loved ones around the Country have paid the ulitmate price. Your selfless dedication and sacrifice says so much about our agency and even more about you as individuals. Thank you.
We saw your group go by this morning on Rt 1, Rehoboth, DE. Have a safe ride and thank you for remembering.
Every year that you participate in this selfless tribute I realize not only that you are special but that I love you for your dignity, quiet strength, loyalty, dedication, and integrity. The tour was an idea presented to me by my buddy Art akins-BWT PD. I didnt think I could do it. I didnt train properly. I thought about quitting. Then the day came and the week passed by and I realized that this was not me, but about the Fallen and their families. Several guys helped me thru it to the point where they out their hand on my shoulders and literally pushed me uphill. Talk about comraderie! I owe them and Art for the support. That was my first time, now I’m PUT all the time! An unbelieveable experience.
Mike Horvath was my uncle and role model. He always loved speaking about the Police Unity Tour during his vacations to Florida. Uncle Mike, we will never forget you!

2010 was my 8th year making the trip to DC to remember and honor all the men and women in law enforcement that made the intimate sacrifice. After getting back home and after thinking about the trip, it was clear to see that peddling my bicycle the 300 miles was the easy part. The hard part of the trip was done by everyone behind the scenes, so to all those people I say THANK YOU. Thank you to, Beth and Brian in the lead vehicle for getting us from Hanover to DC safely. Thank you to all the motors for the escort and keeping us safe from all the other traffic. Thank you to the break team for keeping us well fed and hydrated along the way. Thank you to the hotel team for getting all our stuff from place to place and getting us our room keys quickly. Thank you to the guys in the repair trailer for fixing all the bikes incredibly fast (mine included thanks to 2 flats.)
Thank you to all the others involved that didn’t fall into any of the above listed areas. Thanks to Pat and Harry for having an idea and making the dream come true. Thank you to the family of Officer Richard Crittenden Sr. of North Saint Paul PD for sharing with me the memory of their lost loved one. Above all, thank you to all the members of the Police Unity Tour for making this trip a successful one. Raising 1.1 million dollars for the memorial was an incredible achievement and one we should all be very proud of. I hope to see you all next year so we can do it all over again.

Just an awesome job by all of the Support Staff. The riders may be the focal point to the roadside observer but we riders know what really makes the tour go…SUPPORT! Thank You so much for making it so easy for us.
What a proud moment it was riding strong into DC this year with an awesome group of riders, support staff and motors that do this for all the right reasons. It is about the mission and when riding got tough, I looked around and found everyone struggling with the wind, struggling with the rain and struggling with the emotions of riding for our fallen friends and fellow officers. We brought them all home and made sure that they will never be forgotten. It was a priviledge riding with you all and Wisconsin can’t wait to be back with you all again next year!
This was my first ride in the Unity Tour and words cant describe it. Team Freehold Twp NJ did it! To all those who helped we couldnt do it without you. Hotel Team we never waited more than a min to get our room keys. Break Team you guys cheered us on when we were tired. Clay said the sandwiches were always fresh. Motors without you we could not do this safely. Repair team thanks for fixing my tire and brakes. To the public thanks for understanding. To the surivors, I will continue to be part of this great orgainization and ride again.
To my break team, you guys and girls out did yourselves this tour. You were an outstanding team, I know we were rushed at times, but you guys just did what had to be done.. Rick, you handled that truck like it was toy…Thank You Kindly to all for a job well done. and to the rest of the tour members, you have to see what we see when you arrive at the breaks, the looks on your faces, we were and always will be there for you at any break. Cogratulations on being a Police Unity Tour member
Another Unity Tour is in the books, and again, it was a wonderful experience, especially meeting and sharing with survivors both during the ride and at the Memorial. Thanks to Pat, Harry, Beth, Deb and all the organizers for the work you do to give the rest of us the opportunity to do this ride. To the survivors, thank you for your sacrifice. It was, and always will be, both humbling and an honor to do this ride in honor of your lost loved one and for you.

To all the riders, thank you for staying to the right to allow us on the motors to do our best in protecting you all and getting you to DC safely. To the hotel crew, what can I say, I have new found respect for you guys! I had no idea what was going on yesterday morning in Tappahannock, Va. Luckily I was the first car at a stoplight when a motorcycle Officer stopped traffic. Then came a surprise, I couldn’t believe all the Officers in this motorcade. I lost a good friend in the line of duty and my special niece and her boyfriend, a Richmond Officer, to a drunken boater. This touched my heart more than I can say. Thank you all for all you do to protect us every day. May God bless you richly and keep you safe.
Good Job to you all! I got to see you on Rt.1 this morning, and what a cool sight it was!
Thank you for all you do!

Love, Dad and Mom
For several years I’ve got caught in the traffic backup as I switch schools in the middle of the morning. This year I brought my 10 students from my school to work class to the curb at Bohemia Manor High School to cheer you on. The students were so excited by the fact that you were thanking us and running your sirens. We tied it into our lessons on ‘company culture’. Thanks for all the work you do to protect us and thanks for the lesson today on unity within a company…aka law enforcement. God Bless you all.
So sorry I missed you all in Wilmington.
Hope to make it to DC to see you all ride in to town.

It was again amazing to know how many of you are willing to give up the time to train and complete the tour. You do this to honor our heroes, and show that they will never be forgotten I want to thank you all for the way you brought pride and unity to our memorial.
First I want to thank all who rode in the Unity Tour. My son was killed on 9/14/08 and we were at the memorial when you all arrived. I can’t express the emotions and gratitude I have for all of you for how you made me feel that day. A special thanks to Ian Dubac, who rode with my son’s name and pictures on his motor, you along with all the others put a piece of my broken heart back in place that day. Ian, you’ll always be and have a very special part of my heart. Some one told me while I was at the memorial wall that although I lost my son to look around at all the officers there, they’ve all become my sons. I love my son more then life itself but I can tell you, I’ve never been more proud to have so many stand in as my sons as you all, most especially you Ian. Please know how very much I love each and every one of you and always will.
With deepest respect and love,
Mom of Sgt. Michael C. Weigand

I was at work Tues May 12th at the Highbridge Bp when I saw the most amazing sight, rows and rows of police officers on motorcycles, in cars, and on bikes going by. Two of these heros stopped into my work and purchased a drink and something to munch on and told us what all these heros were doing and then they were on their way to arrive in D.C. Seeing all the police officers riding by on bikes was amazing and I look forward to seeing them again next year. Hopefully they will all stop in and visit us next year.

I look forward to photographing the 13th year of Chief Montoure’s Dream. It is my honor.
Photos will be posted on: johnmarelliphotography.com
There are millions of us out here who appreciate what you officers are up against each day. Whenever I pass a policeman on the road who has stopped a car, I say a prayer for his/her safety. You risk your lives to keep us safe and the criminals you place behind bars are set free by the judges before you finish out your shift. Then when funds get tight, first place they cut back is the police dept. Both you and our military are heros, doing the same job of keeping us safe.
Thank you so much.
Good luck & be Safe 2009 Bike ride…Christopher would be proud of you & congratulations on receiving his yearly award!!Julia
PLEASE KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS AND FAMILY AND GOD BLESS
This is one of the most incredible and selfless things you can do for the survivors of our fallen heroes. Thank you for all that you are doing, and thank you to all the sponsors who are stepping up and donating to this cause. This could be me (or my LEO husband) you are riding for…..I’m thankful that it’s not. All of you riding for those who died, you’re our heroes too!

To all the riders, on behalf of all the motors, it was a pleasure escorting you all this year. Your riding discipline madfe our jobs that much easier! As Ian said before, hearing you thank us after riding all those miles made it all worth while! Skip, it was a pleasure to sit down and chat with you that day, take care of yourself and remember, keeps your hands away from failing tailgates ha ha
Thanks for the honor and pleasure of riding for those who can’t, are no longer with us and of course riding with those who also rode or supported this ride. You all are of course a great bunch of brothers and sisters and I really enjoyed meeting and riding with you all. This was a fantastic ride and I know it could not happen without all the support staff, motors etc, and Thank you all for a rewarding inspirational trip.
